So sorry to hear about all this. Wanna hear something kinda funny though? My mom, who refers to Bill O' Rilley as her "billy boy," is firmly convinced that the housing crisis and economic collapse were orchestrated by Obama and his administration. On purpose. Because sending the country into even more financial turmoil than we were already left with somehow = win.

Ugh, I'm so sorry you're going through this! I'm a recently laid off graphic designer and with the few job postings I'm seeing lately, I'm already worried about running out of my meager unemployment benefits. Your situation sounds so stressful!

And I am also in the process of trying to modify my crappy mortgage and have heard from more than one person inside the mortgage business that same suggestion about not making payments. Sounds so wrong to me, but what else is there to do? As I said before: ugh.

I completely understand where you are coming from. It took me until last month to start receiving the unemployment benefits (5 mo late). All because a letter telling me I missed something when I first filed "got lost in the mail". Funny how the letter showed up after I finally talked to someone on the phone.

As far as your home, we went through the same thing & are fingers crossed waiting for the final paperwork for the loan modification. If you want some advice, I would be more than happy to help.
